Why St Giles House is a fine choice for country weddings
From the moment you arrive in our grounds, you will be in awe of the remarkable sight which lies before you. St Giles House epitomises Georgian architecture and has a lavish history spanning 4 centuries. After the Second World War, the house fell into a state of disrepair and was placed on the English Heritage ‘Buildings at Risk’ register. In 2010, restoration work commenced and today’s beautiful country house is a credit to the Georgian era.
The large scale restoration project started as a modest plan to move the family back into the house, and 7 years later, St Giles House is still being delicately restored. The tremendous renovation work and heavenly grounds has earned this impressive venue a fantastic reputation as one of the most romantic settings for weddings in the country.
What’s more, we are immensely proud of the fact we have won multiple awards including the 2015 Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Award for Building Conservation and the Historic England Angel Award for Best Rescue of a Historic Building or Site.
So, if you are on the lookout for the ultimate venue to complete your list of country wedding ideas, St Giles House is the perfect setting in which you can say your vows and make wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.
