GRAND TRI RUN takes a break in 2017

After a two years of working together with Try Tri Events to form the Grand Tri Run (a traithlon and run weekend), we have decided to part company and we are now taking a year out to see what to do next.

We would like to thank our partners Try Tri Events and particularly the CEO Chris Rees, for the great times working together over the past three years bringing Triathlons to the estate. We were extremely proud of what we acheived and what we delivered for people whether they were experienced triathletes or first-timers. The atmosphere has always been brilliant. Using the lake was one of the most exciting things we've done (and a long term ambition) and some of the aerial footage from this section fo the race captures that drama. It was also a great experience to close off the roads between here and Gussage All Saints and provide the cyclists with a fantastic (if demanding) course to cycle on.

The sense now is to retrun to our roots and bring back the Grand Shaftesbury Run in future years, buit with a focus on creating a relaxed festiavl atmosphere with races during the day, and beer, music and food in the evening. We will of course keep you posted. 2017 is the rest year!

Thanks again for all the support
